May 13, 2013 (A Wilson) - Quarry was operated about 1918 or 1910 to obtain road material for the construction of the Eganville-Pembroke highway (highway 40). The quarry was 10-13 ft deep and 250 ft long and 125 ft wide. The gneiss is interbeded with lit par lit pegmatite.
