Point Location Description: Point 1 km NW of Cornwall Centre.
Location Method: Conversion from MDI
Access Description: DDH # 791 ( DH CO-2 ) was drilled just N of the CNR railway line.
1953-4 : drilling by the Hydro-Electric Power Commission of Ontario to locate a source of aggregate - DDH # 791( DH CO-2 ) on lot 20. Quarry opened and operated under C.A. Pitts General Contracters Ltd. Plant in operation in 1955; over 2 million tons of stone and stone sand completed in 1957 and the plant closed and dismantled in 1958. 1985 : the quarry is now a fish pond and protected by the Raisin River Conservation Authority.
