Point Location Description: Quarry symbol 3.5 km NW of Munster. Quarry on satellite imagery.
Location Method: Data Compilation
1975 : opened and operated by Thomas Cavanagh Construction Ltd and licensed for 20.23 ha in 1989. The quarry produced crushed aggregate on a single lift of 9.7 m in a disturbed area of 10 ha, in 1989.
Province: Paleozoic and Mesozoic Basins
Dec 07, 2005 (C Papertzian) - The quarry (10.9 m deep in 1989) exposes limestones and dolostones of the lower member of the Gull River Formation. The 2 rock types alternate in 2-4 m intervals and there is a small fault and a fold. Overburden is 1-3 m. See OGS 1991 for a section.
