Point Location Description: Quarry symbol 6 km WSW of Stittsville.
Location Method: Conversion from MDI
Circa 1979 : quarry operated (intermittently) by Dibblee Construction Ltd, a division of Warren Paving and Materials Group Ltd, for road aggregate, until about 1993. Then reported to be partially water-filled.
Province: Paleozoic and Mesozoic Basins
Dec 07, 2005 (C Papertzian) - Only 2.65 m of limestone, of the upper member of the Gull River Formation, is exposed above the water. This is fine-grained with some 'birdseye' texture, shale partings and fossils (abundant corals, brachiopods, cephalopods, gastropods and trilobites).
