Point Location Description: Point at Hogsback Park.
Location Method: Conversion from MDI
Access Description: On the E side of the Rideau River at the Hogsback.
Pre-1938 : E.D. Brule and Sons Ltd (in liquidation in 1938) operated this quarry for aggregate. Many old quarries were situated at the Hogsback so this one may have started much earlier (probably for building stone). In 1938 the quarry was 300 x 200 ft and 60 ft deep. The quarry is now sterilized within the city (may be part of Hogsback Park).

Dec 07, 2005 (C Papertzian) - Bobcaygeon Formation (4.0 m), dark blue-brown-grey limestone in thick beds (up to 3.5 ft) separated by seams of black shale.
