Access Description: On the S side of Hwy 17 in Eastview - no longer exposed.
Circa 1960 : Grandmaitre Ltd operate a quarry which supplies man-size blocks for the pulp and paper mills in the Hull area. The quarry face is 10 ft. 1991 : the section is no longer exposed.
Province: Paleozoic and Mesozoic Basins
Dec 07, 2005 (C Papertzian) - The 40 ft quarry face is composed entirely of light blue-grey medium-crystalline, thick to massive-bedded, cross-laminated, clastic limestone of high purity. Bobcaygeon Formation. More shaly beds in the floor of the quarry are unsuitable for paper production. See OGS 1960 for a section.
