Access Description: Outcrops mapped in the Ottawa area and Gloucester township, 1917, as in # 42. See GSC Mem 99, 1917.
Outcrops associated with quarries are described separately - there were many in 1917.
Province: Paleozoic and Mesozoic Basins
Dec 07, 2005 (C Papertzian) - A large variety of lithologies are described within this area (outcrop numbers 29-66) - mostly limestone but also shale and sandstone - Middle Ordovician. See OGS map P2716 (1984). They are described with reference to their potential for quarrying in 1917.
