Mineralization Comments

Mar 11, 2013 (A Wilson) - W. T. King reported gold values up to 0.10 oz/t from grab samples. Samples collected by J. Satterly failed to return any values. Chalcopyrite was observed in pegmatite and was occasionally observed as coating on quartz veins along joints in the diabase. Traces of molybdenite are present in veins and lenses of granitic material in the pegmatite. Grab samples collected by the OGS in 1984 returned 218 ppm Cu, 5 ppm Pb, 5 ppb Au. S. Lumbers reported that the rock dump contained samples of sheared diabase containing sparsely disseminated pyrite and pyrite. Fine grained quartz crystals, filling some of the fractures, rarely contained coatings of pyrite and chalcopyrite.
