Lithology Comments

Apr 23, 2009 (A Wilson) - The Memesagamesing Lake stock is described as crudely elliptical in plan with its long axis trending northwest. The stock intrudes migmatitic metasediments containing gneissic biotite granite sheets. Dikes and small apophyses of norite are present in the immediately adjacent gneisses. Locally the gneisses are brecciated and recrystallized. The norite is described as anorthositic in composition.
