Access Description: Proceed east from Mattawa on hwy 17 for 3.35km and turn right on Gravelle Road. Proceed south to concession 12 road. Turn right and proceed. Take next left (Gravelle road extension) and proceed. Turn right on concession road #10. Proceed 5.2km and walk south 20 degrees east onto lot 18.



Exploration History

1926: Morin and Neault - pitting, shipment of feldspar. 1926: F. Turcotte - pitting, few tons of feldspar shipped.

Jan 03, 2012 (A Wilson) - The deposit consisted of a 10 foot dike of feldspar containing a significant amount of biotite. A second parallel dike occurs a short distance to the south of the main pit. F. Turcotte reportedly shipped a few tons of material from this site in 1926.

Mineralization Comments

Jan 03, 2012 (A Wilson) - The dike reportedly contained a significant amount of black mica in books up to 6 inches across. Approximately 250 tons of material was shipped from this site.
