Access Description: Drive 13.4km north of Mattawa on highway 533 past Snake Creek then turn south on logging road. Drive 17.5km southwest by 4WD or ATV to Montreaulis campsite. At ATV junction, walk due east ~400m to site on west side of Purdy Lake (100m w) south side of creek going out of lake 90m, south side of low hill.



Exploration History

1942: N. Vincent, G.A. MacMillan and G. Wilton – staking, prospecting. 1942: Amic Prospecting Syndicate and Mattawa Prospecting Syndicate – form Mica Consolidated Mines Limited. Property in production 1942-1943.

Jul 06, 2012 (A Wilson) - The pegmatite dike ranges in width from 6 to 8 feet, dips almost vertically or steeply to the northwest and stikes apprximately N45E across hornblende gneisses.

Mineralization Comments

Jul 06, 2012 (A Wilson) - The muscovite is pale-green in colour and is said to possess high dielectric qualities. The mica reportedly had been largely creased and wavy.
