Access Description: The claims are easily reached by a 0.4 kilometer trail from Threetails Lake road, off the McLelland forest access road. The McLelland forest access road joins provincial Highway #63 at a point about 50 kilometers northeast of North Bay.

Lithology Comments

Aug 07, 2012 (A Wilson) - The property is underlain by Grenville orthoquartzite, part of a sequence of clastic siliceous metasediments of Middle Precambrian age. Loosely packed quartz pebble beds up to 0.5 meter thick form part of the quartzite unit. The quartzite strikes slightly west of north, and dips about 4O° to the west.

Aug 07, 2012 (A Wilson) - A chemical analysis of the quartzite may average silica 95-99, iron oxide 0.02-0.8, alumina 0.4-1-29, calcium oxide 0.01-0.02, magnesium oxide 0.01- 0.02, sodium oxide 0.01-0.03, potassium oxide 0.07-0.18, titanium oxide 0.11 percent.
