Lithology Comments

Aug 16, 2017 (A Wilson) - The shaft was sunk in a sequence of pillowed mafic metavolcanics. The basalts are steeply dipping and are cut by narrow lamprophyre dikes. Dikes and sills of granophyre and diabase intrude all units. A granophyre sill about 17 m thick dips 35ºS across the 250 ft level of the mine workings. The shaft lies between the northeasterly trending Wettlaufer Fault and the NNE Cross Lake Fault. Both of these faults converge on the Beaver (Fourclaim) Lake Fault to the south.

Mineralization Comments

Aug 16, 2017 (A Wilson) - Silver values have been found in both the vein and the adjoining country rock. Typical assays from a 15 foot long shoot of silver bearing material (No. 1 Vein) in the underground workings include: 11 oz/t Ag over 48 inches, 8 oz/t Ag over 54 inches and 56 oz/t Ag over 25 inches. Leaf silver has been observed on the waste dumps near the No 1 shaft and wire silver has been identified in the No. 2 vein.
