Lithology Comments

Mar 26, 2013 (A Wilson) - The rocks above the 750-ft level are mainly volcanic cut by numerous black, fine-grained dikes an lamprophyre dikes. This assemblage is intruded by Nipissing diabase. The No 1 vein follows a cherty aplite dike to the northeast of the shaft. The No. 2 vein lies within a fault and closely follows a narrow fine-grained black dike. The calcite vein system strikes NW and dips steeply to the southwest. Silver was produced from both the diabase and the metavolcanics near the 750-ft level.

Mineralization Comments

Mar 26, 2013 (A Wilson) - Channel samples collected from the Woods Vein returned values ranging from 3.0 oz/t over 24 inches at a depth of 260 ft to 2214.0 oz/t Ag over 19 inches at a depth of 70 feet. The Woods Vein continues on to the Keeley Property. Samples from the No. 2 vein returned assays of 2.8 oz/t Ag and 0.60% Co over 3 feet on the 350-ft level; 12.3 oz/t Ag and 2.35% Co over 3 feet on the 350-ft level; 0.5 oz/t Ag and 0.56% Co over 3 ft on the 625-ft level; and 98.2 oz/t Ag and low values of Co over 3 ft on the 750 ft- level. Assays from veins encountered in the 1954 underground drilling exploration program (Ramardo) returned values up to 24.0 oz/t Ag and 1.24% Co over 1.25 ft from the R-1 vein. The silver occurs in the form of native silver (either as massive concentrations or as thin leaves in fractures) and combined as oxide, sulphide and/or complex nickel-cobalt sularsenite minerals.
