Lithology Comments

Aug 16, 2017 (A Wilson) - The western half of the claim is underlain by very fine-grained intermediate to mafic metavolcanic rocks. Pillowed structures are found in the northwestern part of the claim and are westerly facing. Lamprophyre and feldspar porphyry dikes intrude the metavolcanics at depth. The most productive veins were the No. 1 and No. 2. The No 1 vein strikes east and dips north. The No. 2 vein also strikes north and is near the west boundary of the claim. The No. 2 vein ranges from 1-3 feet in width in the north and narrows to a width of 1 ft with 3-8 inches of calcite.

Mineralization Comments

Aug 16, 2017 (A Wilson) - The No. 1 vein, consisting of calcite, strikes east and dips north. During the mapping of the mine workings by company geologists, small occurrences of cobalt and nickel were observed, but none of these were of ore grade. The silver grade was 27 oz./t and the cobalt grade was 31 lbs./ton. From the area around the no. 2 shaft, Norbert Silver Mines Limited were reported to have made shipments of ore which averaged 9.74% Co, 8.8% nickel, 0.03% Cu and 1.5 oz./t Ag. Veins No. 1 and No. 2 were considered the most important with production coming from No. 1 vein only.
