1952: Rib Lake Copper Mines Ltd. – DD-5- 1023 ft., assays. 1955: N. Montgomery: sulphide boulders carrying copper and nickel were discovered a few hundred feet east of Dieter Lake. 1962-68: No. 1 winze collared at 283 ft. was sunk 169 ft. with levels at 341 ft and at about 441 ft. 1965: Nickel Rim Mines Limited – 493 ft. 1967- Nickel Rim Mines Ltd. - 1971-72: Nickel Rim Mines Ltd. – DD-5-1607 ft., assays; VLF and magnetic geophysical surveys; MidNorth Engineering Services Ltd. - DD-9-5802 ft, assays

Aug 08, 2017 (A Wilson) - Assays from DDH No. 1 returned silver assays between 0.4 and 0.6 oz, copper assays between 0.10% and 0.20% and nickel assays between 0.18% and 0.76% Ni. Gold assays range from 0.02 oz./t Au over 4 ft. 4 inches. Pentlandite averaged 0.37% over 4 ft. 4 inches. Assay values for nickel average between 0.018% and 0.95%; gold assayed 0.02% oz.
