Aug 28, 2017 (A Wilson) - Nipissing quartz diabase in the form of a thick, shallow dipping sheet intrudes Lorrain quartzite of the Cobalt Series. The property occurs across the contact of the above rocks. Gowganda Formation sedimentary rocks and limited outcrops of Lorrain Formation in the southeastern part of the property are intruded by quartz diabase. An irregular wedge of hornblende syenite is exposed in the northern end of the property. Hornblende syenite underlies much of the property.

Aug 28, 2017 (A Wilson) - Minor pyrite and chalcopyrite mineralization occurs in the Coleman sedimentary rocks. Several varieties of spotted alteration are prominent in parts of the property. The intensity of the spotted alteration is related to the distance from the quartz diabase and the composition and texture of the host rock.
