Lithology Comments

Oct 30, 2020 (Sheree Hinz) - A quartz-calcite vein within the nipissing diabase hosts the mineralization. The diabase contact with Cobalt conglomerate lies about 300 feet to the southeast of the shaft, and from an exposure found in a trench across the contact, the conglomerate appears to dip under the diabase towards the shaft

Mineralization Comments

Oct 30, 2020 (Sheree Hinz) - The quartz-calcite vein can be traced on the surface for 100 feet west of the shaft. It varies in width from one to four inches and carries cobalt and nickel bloom with low values in silver. In the shaft near the surface, a two-foot calcite vein comes in, which strikes north and south. This vein is mineralized with liberal amounts of chalcopyrite and pyrite but contains no cobalt minerals. Assay values reportedly averaged 4.52 ounces per ton Ag and 20% Cu (with maximum values of 5.90 ounces per ton Ag and 21 % Cu) over a width of 10 cm and a length of 60 m. Short drill holes indicated average assay values of 0.57 ounce per ton Ag and 10.10% Cu (with maximum values of 2.28 ounces per ton Ag and 21.35% Cu) over a width of 40 cm.
