Nov 29, 2012 (A Wilson) - Felsic metavolcanic rocks are intruded by a quartz diorite sill and both are cut by later dikes. Two important veins were reported - the Main which strikes N40E and the Shaver Vein which strikes N60E. The mineralization is hosted in the central and northwestern part of the diorite sill. The diorite has been sheared, carbonatized, silicified, sericitized and pyrtized. The alteration seems to be more intense where the mineralized zones and fractures are most abundant. The intrusive has been cut by greenstone and lamprophyre dikes. The Main Vein strikes N40E and has been exposed for a continuous length of 250ft and has a maximum width of 5 feet, although in some areas parallel veins increase the total width of quartz to 6 feet. The vein has been cut by a number of minor cross-faults which strike northwest and show a maximum displacement of 6 m. The Shaver Vein is located 270 ft north of the main vein. On surface it strikes N60E and has a maximum width of 0.46 m

Nov 29, 2012 (A Wilson) - The Main Vein returned historic assays ranging from trace to 1.15 oz/t Au over a width of 8.8 feet for a length of 70 feet (surface). Typical assays from the South (Main) Vein on the 150-ft level range from 0.128 oz/t Au over 3.52 ft to 0.339 oz/t Au over 5.78 ft. On the 350-foot level the grades range from 0.105 oz/t Au over 1.43 ft to 0.388 oz/t Au over 2.68 ft. The Shaver Vein returned historic assays averaging 0.66 oz/t Au over a width of 4.6 feet for a length of 68 ft. Minor amounts of galena have been observed in the Shaver Vein. On the 150-ft level the Shaver Vein assayed 0.71 oz/t au over 1.26ft. On the 350-ft level the vein returned assays ranging from 0.287 oz/t Au over 1.11 ft to 1.318 oz/t Au over 1.23 ft. Chip samples collected from the veins by E.L. MacVeigh in 1964 returned assays of 0.21 oz/t Au over 12 inches. Other samples assayed 0.01 oz/t Au, 0.52 oz/t Au, 0.18 oz/t Au and 0.28 oz/t Au.
