Nov 29, 2012 (A Wilson) - A sample collected from the vein by P.D. Hermiston in 1942 returned assays ranging from 0.04 to 1.34 oz/t Au and from trace to 20.04 oz/t Ag over widths up to 1 foot. A character sample of arsenopyrite mineralization sampled by Moorhouse (ODM) yielded 0.58 oz/t Au and 10.7 oz/t Ag. Diamond drill results from the Metalline Resources Inc. returned nil to trace values of gold and silver. The best assay from sampling by Hollinger Mines Ltd in 1977 ran 1.58 oz. Ag/ton, 0.19 oz. Au/ton, 0.74% Cu, 0.02% Pb, and 0.06% Zn /ton. The best assay from Falconbridge DDH SY24-01 returned 6430 ppm Zn over 1.2 m. Diamond drilling by Sudbury Contact Mines in 1998 returned the best intercept of 0.33% Zn, 363 ppb Au and 13.5 g/t Ag over 8 m in LL98-1 and 0.82% Zn, 118 ppb Au and 11.7 g/t Ag over 3.7 m in LL98-3. These two drill holes were separated by 1200 m along strike, suggesting that they are part of the same stratigraphic mineralizing event.
