Dec 05, 2012 (A Wilson) - The rocks are typically intermediate tuffs, agglomerates and andesites with some coarse dioritic rocks and granite. Quartz porphyry outcrops to the south of the vein and occurs as sericitized inclusions within the vein. Diamond drill holes completed by Goldray Mines, intersected a zone of carbonatized and brecciated metavolcanics intruded by numerous quartz veins, feldspar porphyry and mafic dikes.

Dec 05, 2012 (A Wilson) - The mineralized zone strikes roughly N35E and extends for a strike length of approximately 90 m. A mineralized quartz vein (2-4 m wide) is found on one wall of the zone. In the eastern part of the zone, pyrite was the only sulphide mineral observed. A grab sample collected from the vein by W.W. Moorhouse returned 0.13 oz/t Au and a trace of silver. The best assays from surface sampling by Halkin Mines returned values of tr Ag, nil Au, 0.40% Pb, 4.00% Zn and 0.15% Cu. R. Shklanka reports that the highest assays reported from the mineralized zone was 8% Cu, 17% Zn, 6.4% Pb and 0.13 oz/t Au. A grab sample collected by the OGS from the main showing in 1970 assayed 0.46% Zn and trace amounts of Au, Ag, Cu, Pb. Grab samples collected by R. Rintala from a series of trenches returned Cu assays ranging from 135 to 12191 ppm, Zn assays ranging from 179 to 12023 ppm and Pb values ranging from 237 to 6650 ppm Pb. The best gold value was 551 ppb Au.
