Lithology

Lithology Data
Rock Type Rank Composition Texture Relationship
Felsic lava flow-unsubdivided 1 Foliated, Fragmental Host

Lithology Comments

Dec 05, 2012 (A Wilson) - Diamond drilling intersected a sequence of felsic to intermediate metavolcanics. The metavolcanics are silicified in some locations but are mainly agglomeratic to fragmental in nature. Narrow dikes of felsic intrusive (porphyry) cross cut all units.

Mineralization Comments

Dec 05, 2012 (A Wilson) - The mineralization is described as a massive sulphide zone consisting of massive pyrrhotite with exsolved pyrite as 1 cm stringers and euhedral crystals up to 1 cm in size and as subhedral aggregates up to 3 cm. Minor chalcopyrite was observed on fractures and surfaces. A 0.4 m section of core from DDH CA-03 returned 1.44% Cu and a 1.5 m section of core from the same drill hole assayed 0.37% Cu over 1.5 m. Both intersections were from the same 14.2 m interval. Elevated nickel values ranging from 1130 ppm to 2490 ppm Ni were obtained over sections of drill core up to 0.03 m in width.
