Exploration History

1905: Discovered by P. Green. 1906-1912: Consolidated Silver Cobalt Mines worked on the claims. 1917-1922: Edward and Wright Ltd. carried out exploration and underground workings. 1925-1928: Cobalt Contact Mines Ltd. carried out underground work including mining and milling. 1957: Four drill holes were completed. 1963: Silvermague Mining Ltd. owned the property. 1964: Pittsonto Mining Co. Ltd. owned the property.

Lithology Comments

Apr 28, 2023 (Q Unknown) - Keewatin andesitic lavas, pyroclastics and chert beds strike N to NE with steep SE dip. They are overlain unconformably in the south part of the property by up to 50' of shallow S dipping Gowganda conglomerate and greywacke of the Cobalt Series, and locally south of No.1 vein by a small dome of Nipissing quartz diabase about 50' thick.

Apr 28, 2023 (Q Unknown) - Silver-cobalt bearing calcite veins occur in two groups striking N-S and NE, and in part follow the Keewatin interflow beds.
