1904: Ira Benn discovered a cobaltite occurrence. 1904-1931: Exploration carried out by various companies (Temiskaming Cobalt Mining Co., Agaunica Mines Development Co., General Mines, Conigas Mines, D.L. Jemmett and Northern Extension Mines. 1935: C.W. Knight carried out prospecting and diamond drilling. 1939: C.W. Knight carried out diamond drilling. 1939-1944: Cobalt Products Ltd. carried on work at the mine. 1960: Ore reserves exhausted
