Lithology Comments

Jul 31, 2017 (A Wilson) - Flat-lying Cobalt Series sediments in a shallow paleo-valley and up to 200 ft. thick unconformably overlie Keewatin volcanics; the sediments are overlain by the Nipissing diabase sill that dips and increases in thickness (from 150 ft.) to the east. A major north-west fault crosses the property about 500 ft. east of No. 407 shaft. Two sets of veins strike northwest to north and northeast to east. Chlorite spotting is pronounces in the sediments near the veins. Most production has come from the sediments within 50 ft. of the Keewatin unconformity. Zoning of silver above cobalt mineralization is present in the veins.
