1948-52: Shag Silver Mines Ltd.-some diamond drilling was done from surface; later underground work was carried on from the Cross Lake O'Brien shaft. 1950: Lease was transferred to Shag Silver Mines Limited; it was terminated in 1951. 1958: Deer Horn Mines Limited: an option on the group was taken by Deer Horn Mines Limited with the intention of prospecting from the underground workings of the contiguous Cross Lake O'Brien property also held by the company. 1978: R.S. Nichols - DD-13-8112 ft.; Deer Horn Property DD-20-31,138 ft.

Jul 28, 2017 (A Wilson) - The claims are underlain by 600 ft. of Nipissing diabase of the Peterson Lake Nipissing diabase basin. The NW-SE Cross Lake Fault cuts the property. The only production was obtained from a short southern extension of the SW trending Cross Lake O’Brien No. 1 vein. Silver and cobalt arsenide in the vein occurs in a gangue of calcite and quartz.

Jul 28, 2017 (A Wilson) - Low grade arsenide veins were intersected in holes DH 14 and DH 16 about 1800’ southeast of the shaft. DH 14 at 612.5’ a ½ inch calcite-cobalt vein assayed 0.74 oz. Ag/ton over 0.6’. DH 16 at 479.3 ft. a 1/8 inch calcite-cobalt vein assayed 0.13 oz. Ag/ton over 0.3 ft.
Jul 26, 2022 (Q Unknown) - Base metal concentrate: 230m northwest of Deerhorn Shaft on 900' level 5.5% Cu;1.5% Pb;1.4% Zn/1.2mX 36.6m, underground access from Deerhorn Shaft: N.part J S 145 from 800',900' level and 1000' sub level, and south part from 270',395' level.
