Lithology Comments

Oct 30, 2020 (Sheree Hinz) - Keewatin pillow lavas, striking north and with tops facing west make up most of the outcrop which occurs in a belt along the lakeshore. Intrusive into the lavas are irregular quartz-feldspar porphyry dikes. A small area of Cobalt Series sediments, probably not more than 30 feet thick, occurs near the shaft and the basal contact of this conglomerate over the underlying Keewatin lavas as well as over a quartz porphyry dike intrusive into them is well exposed.
