Jul 31, 2017 (A Wilson) - In the northeast corner of lot 7, concession VI, near the shore of Island 10 a pit exposes narrow calcite veinlets containing a little chalcopyrite. The host rock is a grey flecked lava containing quartz-carbonate amygdules. On Island 9 is a shaft estimated to be 60 feet in depth. On the dump is quartz vein material as well as biotite lamprophyre and grey lava. At the north end of the island in a small pit is a quartz vein with minor amounts of calcite; epidote and axinite are also present.
