Access Description: From Cobalt, Hwy 11b South To West Cobalt Rd. Turn NW And Follow Along North Shore Of Clear Lake 2.6km. Shaft Is Located 20m North Of West Cobalt/Sharpe Lake Rds.



Exploration History

1907: Shaft sunk to approximately 50 ft. 2006: New Inverness Explorations Inc. carried out line-cutting and a ground geophysical survey (magnetometer, electromagnetic). 2008: The Legends of Cobalt carried out an airborne geophysical survey (magnetometer, electromagnetic). 2018: Cruz Cobalt Corp. acquired the property.

Lithology Comments

Oct 30, 2020 (Sheree Hinz) - The shaft was put down in cobalt series conglomerate, interpreted to be interflow sediments within the Keewatin mafic volcanic rocks. Mineralized calcite veins are found within the mafic volcanics.

Mineralization Comments

Oct 30, 2020 (Sheree Hinz) - Calcite vein material up to 3 inches wide occurs on the dump with pyrite-chalcopyrite mineralization in negligible amount found in the dump material. Cobalt mineralization was rumoured on the property, but none has been found in dump material.
