Exploration History

1909: Michigan Cobalt Mining Co. sunk a shaft 100 ft. 1968: Agnico Mines Ltd. owned the property. 2009: CJP Exploration Inc. carried out a ground geophysical survey (magnetometer). 2017: First Cobalt Corp. carried out prospecting, sampling, assays and analyses. 2018: Cobalt Industries of Canada acquired property.

Lithology Comments

Oct 30, 2020 (Sheree Hinz) - The claim is underlain by Nipissing diabase that forms the north dipping limb of the Peterson Lake diabase basin. The diabase overlies Keewatin volcanic rock. The Cyril Lake and Juno Metals Faults strike northeast across the property, A third fault strikes northwest near the shaft.

Mineralization Comments

Oct 30, 2020 (Sheree Hinz) - Niccolite and cobalt mineralization was reported underground but silver was only found on surface. A small amount of chalcopyrite in granular calcite vein material was found in the shaft dump
