Lithology Comments

Aug 02, 2017 (A Wilson) - Steeply dipping, southwest striking Keewatin sediments outcrop on the eastern part of the south claim; they show minor disseminated chalcopyrite, pyrite, galena and sphalerite mineralization. Cobalt sediments within both claims formerly underlying Nipissing diabase sill, occur along the west-southwest axial region of the Kerr Lake Arch. Of the numerous silver – cobalt calcite veins, the main shaft and the No. 4 Vein were the most important ones. The ore shoots on these veins are restricted to Cobalt sediments.

Mineralization Comments

Aug 02, 2017 (A Wilson) - Veins range in length from greater than 400 ft. with a vertical depth of 200 ft.( Main Shaft Vein) and horizontal length greater than 400 ft. extending over a vertical depth of 80’ (Shaft No. 4 Vein). The grade of the veins was 60 oz./t Ag (1906 to 1916). The veins range from 1-3 cm, and consist of calcite and cobalt. Grade of the veins is 309 g/t silver over 0.12 m in Keewatin chert. Pyrargyrite (dark red silver ore).
