Lithology Comments

Aug 08, 2017 (A Wilson) - The veins strike N20ºW and N75ºE respectively and occur in Keewatin pillowed andesite near the axis of an anticline. At about 500 feet south and 100 feet east of the northeast corner of C 0951 is a 30-foot shaft, often referred to as the Sloan shaft. In recent years the vicinity of the shaft has been under water due to beaver dams. On the shaft dump cobalt mineralization may be seen and the late Albert Gauthier, long resident in the vicinity, told the writer that assays from the shaft gave returns of up to 60 ozs, of silver per ton. At the collar of the shaft, which has not been dewatered in recent years, are two veins one with strike N.20Wº, the other with strike N075ºE. Several other calcite or quartz-calcite veins occur on the group but silver or cobalt has not been found in them in so far as the writer knows.

Mineralization Comments

Aug 08, 2017 (A Wilson) - Best silver assays 60 oz./t. The highest assays for silver from the most recent drilling program were 6.60 g in interflow sediment; 24.60 and 11.20 g over 0.5 m. Elevated levels of copper, lead and zinc also were intersected.
