Jul 19, 2010 (A Wilson) - The quarry lies within a narrow, down-faulted block of Silurian Thornloe Fm. The stone is medium to thick-bedded and chert is commonly found as beds and nodules throughout the section.
Jul 19, 2010 (A Wilson) - Samples from different horizons within the quarry section provided a composite value of 25.6% CaO, 18.82% MgO and 12.27% SiO2.
