Lithology Comments

Dec 06, 2012 (Nazha Sabiri) - Pyroclastic agglomerate interbedded with tuffaceaous rocks, common in the agglomerate are angular fragments of rhyolite and rhyolite porphyry. Agglomerate matrix consists of fine grained mid-green tuffaceous rocks. Grey chert locally in more siliceous layers in the tuffs. More common are massive crystalline tuffs. Finely bedded and crystalline tuff, mid to light green, fine grained, composition range from dacitic to rhyolitic, massive crystalline tuff with felsic minerals fragments and less common hornblende in affine grained mid-green matrix. Agglomerate rather than tuff overlies the intermediate volcanic rocks.

Mineralization Comments

Dec 06, 2012 (Nazha Sabiri) - Chalcopyrite disseminated with pods of calcite. Pyrite more abundant in the massive intermediate volcanic. Chloritic alteration within the surrounding country rocks. Presence of iron staining and epidote. Main sulphide is pyrite, minor chalcopyrite and sphalerite. Sulphide showing occurs in rhyolitic tuffs and rhyolite breccia. NE part of claims is intermediate to acid volcanic mainly coarse agglomerate, the NW part is basic to intermediate volcanic. Sedimentary rocks strike E-W direction and dip shallowly to the south (15-20º). Pyroclastics strike N20E and dip steeply to the east (60-70º). Matachewan Diabase dike appears to have a N-S trending. Assays: Au: 0.002-0.040 oz/T, Ag: 0.407- 12.6 oz/T, Zn: 0.04-6.21%, Cu: 0.17- 8.42%
