Exploration History

1927, Telluride Gold Mines of Canada Ltd. Sank 2 compartments shaft to 375 ft with lateral work at 90 ft ,150 ft and 250 ft level. In 1930, 50tpd mill was constructed. 1931, Telluride Gold Producers Ltd: unknown work, 1932, Smelters Corporations of Canada Ltd: Unkown. 1935, Minaura Mines Ltd: dewatering to the 150ft level, 1940, Hughmar Gold Mines Ltd: dewatering to the 250 ft level, 1944, New Telluride Gold Mines of Canada, dewatering to the 250 ft level, completion of a 200 tpd mill and sampling and assying. 2010, Giyani Gold Corp., Geophysics, Mag, IP

Apr 09, 2013 (Nazha Sabiri) - Telluride Fault was exposed on 2 workings level at the New Telluride Mine, North-striking and dips 50 to 55 W. unknown displacement, 2 to 12 inches of talcose chlorite occurs at the fault surface and quartz –carbonate stringers occupy the sheared zone.

Apr 09, 2013 (Nazha Sabiri) - According to Lovell, H. property visit (PV415), near the shaft the outcrop is calc-alkalic lapilli tuff; calc-alkalic basalt cut by quartz-carbonate veins; Some of the veins are dominantly chalcopyrite and others specular hematite; no sedimentary rocks interflow nor strongly sheared zones were noticed,; presence of alteration consisting of quartz, carbonate, chlorite and feldspar.
