Point Location Description: Quartz vein

Location Method: Field Visit with GPS

Access Description: Follow road to north from Hwy 66 along Lebel-Gauthier township border for 1.2 km. Go left at the fork in the road. The tower is about 1.15 km to the west along the road. The vein is approximately 25 to the northeast of the tower.



Exploration History

1950: Geological mapping and drilling by Mining Corporation. None of the holes under the showing. Closest holes to more than 100 m to the south. Assays for gold only. 1971: T. Gudrie trenched on the property. 1982: Tower Gold Resources Limited completed ground magnetometer and EM surveys. 1980: Property held by Queenston Mining Inc. No work filed. Material donated indicates sample collected from the trench ran 31 ppb Au and 5.1% (50,900 ppm) Cu. 1983 - 1984: Stripping and trenching by W. Egg.

Geology Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (D Guidon) - Veins within a wide band of trachyte flows within the Timiskaming assembalge. The band of trachyte trends approximately 120. Trenches on the vein strike about 030.

Mineralization Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (D Guidon) - 1-3% disseminated chalcopyrite in brecciated quartz carbonate vein. Chalcopyrite subhedral, grains to 10 mm, most 2-3 mm.
