Exploration History

1927-1929: Patterson Copper Mines Ltd. sunk a shaft, shipped 9 cars of ore. 1951: Golden Arrow Mines Ltd. optioned property. 1955: Mirla Exploration optioned property and shipped 3279 tons of ore. 1962: R. Rinaldi completed 435 ft. of diamond drilling. 1969: Royal Valley Copper Mines Ltd. carried out ground geophysics (magnetometer and electromagnetic) and geological mapping. 1997: Boston Creek Mines Ltd. completed 8 diamond drill holes, a ground geophysical survey (magnetometer), assaying and analyses. 2006-2008: Boston Creek Mines Ltd. completed bulk sampling, metallurgical testing, and overburden stripping. 2016: Palisades Resources Corp. carried out prospecting and assaying and analyses.

Lithology Comments

Aug 21, 2024 (Sheree Hinz) - The iron formation occurs along the northeast contact of a band of felsic tuff, which strikes southeasterly across the property. The copper ore occurs as replacement bodies in narrow bands of iron formation on each side of small quartz-filled cross-faults.

Aug 21, 2024 (Sheree Hinz) - Mineralization found in the iron formation consists of chalcopyrite, magnetite, pyrite, and pyrrhotite.
