Point Location Description: A point 150 feet on a bearing of 030 from the number three post of claim L 2772.

Location Method: Field Visit with GPS

Access Description: Approximately 500 m west of the most westerly street of King Kirkland along Hwy 66. At this point culvert passes under the highway. On the north side of the highway just west of the ditch is a steel pin. A compass bearing from this point at 030 for 150 feet takes you into the bush just beyond the power line right of way where the trench is located.

Exploration History

Pre-1952 G.E. Harrison sank a shallow test pit on the outcrop and extended it with a trench to the southeast (KL-1099). Mineralization within the narrow quartz veins consists of pyrite and chalcopyrite along the vein wall. It was reported that a grab sample assayed $7.00 Au per ton (0.2 opt) (KL-1099). 1952 G.E. Harrison diamond drilled a shallow hole to the northeast under the showing (KL-1099).

Geology Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (D Guidon) - A trench 5 feet wide, 5 feet deep and 25 feet long has been blasted in the outcrop. Narrow 0.5 to 2 quartz veins carrying chalcopyrite and pyrite are within trachyte lapilli tuff. Savage noted crude bedding in the trachyte striking north-south and dipping 45 west. Quartz veins strike 015 and dip 45 east. Savage measured the joints in the trench to have a strike of 035 and dip 70 southeast.
