Exploration History

1950: Geological mapping and drilling by Mining Corporation. 25 holes were completed. Hole 21 near the zone intersected 0.072 opt Au over 28.1 feet and a second zone of 0.042 opt Au over 37.5 feet. 1971: T. Gudrie trenched on the property. 1980: Property held by Queenston Mining Inc. No work filed. Material donated indicates samples collected on roadside outcrop. 1982: Tower Gold Resources Limited completed ground magnetometer and EM surveys. 1995- 1996: Sudbury Contact Mines Limited completed line cutting, IP, ground magnetometer, EM, resistivity and geological mapping surveys over the property. An initial 4 hole 3115 foot drill program was completed. Additional diamond drilling consisted of 19 holes totalling 12059 feet. 1997: Sudbury Contact Mines Limited completed a 5 hole 3778 foot diamond drill program. Reported a resource of 738000 tons grading 0.07 ouce per ton Au with a higher grade zone of 307000 tons grading 0.11 ounce per ton Au. 20/03/2015 (J. Suma-Momoh). 2009: Queenston Mining Inc. / Newstrike Resources Ltd joint venture – DD, 46 surface holes totaling 14 185 m; line-cutting, ground magnetometer and IP surveys. 2010: Queenston Mining Inc. – ground magnetometer survey.

Geology

Province: Superior

Subprovince: Abitibi

Terrane: Wawa-Abitibi

Belt: Abitibi

Tectonic Assemblage: Timiskaming

Geological Age: Archean

Geology Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (D Guidon) - The Timiskaming assemblage forms a major syncline and is composed of sedimentary and alkalic volcanic sequences of rock that trend easterly across the Abitibi greenstone belt. The assemblage dips gently to the south except in proximity to the Lake Fault where the sequences dip steeply to the north. The Larder Lake Fault dips steeply to the south. Deposit is hosted in a southeast-striking south dipping band of mafic alkalic rocks. The band is underlain by conglomerates and other clastic rocks of the Timiskaming assemblage.

Lithology Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (D Guidon) - The deposit is hosted in altered trachytic alkalic metavolcanic rocks above the contact with metasedimentry rocks. The mineralized zone is brecciated, of irregular thickness and highly altered.

Mineralization Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (D Guidon) - Minerlaized zone contains disseminated 3-5% fine grained disseminated pyrite.

Mar 23, 2015 (J Suma-Momoh) - 20/03/2014: During summer of 2014, J. Suma-Momoh collected a grab sample from the outcrop along HWY 66 East, on the north side of the road. The sample returned assay of 2.11 g/t Au. Highlights of DDH #21 (January 20 – 28, 1951) included 0.17 ounce/ton Au over 2.5 feet; 0.14 ounce/ton Au over 1.1 feet; and 0.13 ounce/ton Au over 2 feet in red-grey, partly brecciated trachyte. Highlights of diamond drilling in 2009 included 3.56 g/t Au over 10.8 m (DDH COM09_04); 3.07 g/t Au over 7.3 m (DDH COM09_09), and 1.06 g/t Au over 51 m, including 1.45 g/t over 31.0 m (DDH COM10_45).

Alteration Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (D Guidon) - The outcrop consists of massive brown pyrite-bearing trachyte intruded by a mafic syenite dike. The trachyte is fragmental and strongly altered with carbonate minerals. It has been suggested that some of the red colour may be due to finely disseminated hematite but this is not apparent in thin section sample examinations. Chemically, the rock is no longer a trachyte due to its low Na;0 + K;0 content. Grab samples of the outcrop assay to 0.237 ounce per ton gold, and the average of 13 samples (probably including some of the syenite), from this outcrop and corresponding exposure across the highway, is 0.04 ounce per ton gold. Based on sampling results from this outcrop and intersections from diamond drilling conducted by the Mining Corporation, the zone appears to have an easterly strike.

Date: Apr 26, 2001

Geologist: D Guidon

Notes: Outcrops on Hwy 66 visited and sampled July and August 2, 1996. Sample 96313 collected on south side of Hwy - red, fine grained, almost jasper appearance. Sample 96317 collected on outcrop on Hwy about 800 feet northwest of outcrop from 96313. Most of the drilling by Sudbury Contact between these outcrops with collars south of the highway.
