Point Location Description: Diamond drill hole
Location Method: Conversion from MDI
The property consists of 15 contiguous, patented mining claims (15 claim units) and adjoins Queenston's Upper Canada Mine property to the west. Four alteration zones were identified (Stollery 1950) and values of up $17 gold per ton at $ 38.00 per oz was reported in Pit 'A', which uncovered a three foot wide quartz vein exposed over a length of six feet (McBean 1945). A x-ray diamond drill hole, testing what was referred to as the No. 2 zone, intersected $ 9 gold per ton. Several other diamond drill holes intersected $1.40 gold per ton over 4 feet, $4.20 gold per ton over 10 inches and $4.20 gold per ton over 16 inches (gold at $35 per oz.). An assessment work compilation (Ploeger and Grabowski 1979) suggests extensive diamond drilling was performed along the western boundary of the property, some drilling at the center and no diamond drilling on the eastern half of the property. CANICO (K.L. Assessment File 1272) carried out an IP survey on four lines, covering a small area in the northwest corner of the property. Assessment Files at the Kirkland Lake Resident Geologist office suggest that only Queenston Mining Inc. performed work on the property subsequent to the Ploeger and Grabowski (1979) compilation. Overburden stripping by Queenston, over a weak IP anomaly at four sites, did not explain the cause of the anomaly.

Dec 07, 2005 (G Meyer) - Pebbles in the Timiskaming sedimentary rocks are flattened parallel to the S3 deformation direction striking north-northwest and dipping near vertical. Flattening and carbonatization are apparently most intense near the southwest boundary of the property, decreasing in intensity at the northeast boundary.
Dec 07, 2005 (G Meyer) - Outcrop along the Upper Beaver Road is composed of Timiskaming conglomerate, which is strongly deformed and carbonatized. Interlayers of Timiskaming sedimentary rock, and trachyte underlie the northwest part of the property. The remainder of the property is underlain by Timiskaming sedimentary rock (Map No. 50c, Gauthier Township).
