Location Method: Based on Assessment

Access Description: Approximately 3 km north of Hwy 66 along the Fork Lake road at near the Guathier-McVittie boundary. The site is to the west of the road.



Exploration History

1938 - Sylvanite Gold Mines completed surface pitting and trenching as well as a geological survey. 1943-47 - 3 diamomd drill holes completed totalling 2415 feet plus addiotional diamond drilling not filed. Assays ranged from 0.01 to 0.03 ounce Au per ton. 1989-91 - Sudbury Contact Mines Limited completed airborne and ground geophysical surveys as well as a geological survey. Diamond drilling was also completed. Diamond drill hole FLP-91-12 intersected 2 narrow kimberlite dikes.

Lithology Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (D Guidon) - Gold in quartz veins on property carrying low gold values as well as 2 small kimberlite dikes intersected on more recent exploration program.
