Access Description: Point Located: A point 2.01 km north and 0.40 km east of the southwest corner of Tannahill Township.
1981: Patrick Crossan dug 4 trenches totalling 105 feet, blasted 3 pits, and diamond drilled 1 hole totalling 35 feet (assessment files, Resident Geologist's Office, Kirkland Lake). 1985: T. Obradovich completed electromagnetic and magnetic surveys. 1988: W. Golden and T. Obradovich completed magnetic and electromagnetic surveys. 1996: Otis J./Pacific Mariner completed linecutting, magnetometer and limited IP. The company changed their name to Abitibi Mining Corp. and Sedex Mining Corp. respectively. 1996-1997: Sedex and Abitibi completed 44 diamond drill holes totalling 6583 m, trenching, sampling and a soil geochemical survey. Mineralization is associated with qtz, carbonate, albite, pyrite alteration in 2 zones with assays generally less than 2 g/t Au and widths to 11.0 m. The drilling was done to the north. Trenching and sampling was in the area of the trench.

Dec 07, 2005 (C Salo) - Largely glacial drift covered northeast striking weakly metamorphosed (greenschist or lower metamorphic facies) massive basaltic andesite of the (Archean) Blake River Group (Jensen 1982, 1978, 1971; Jensen and Baker 1986; Johnstone and Steele 1989; Baker et al. 1982; McClenaghan et al. 1988, 1987; Steele 1988) is reported (assessment files, Resident Geologist's Office, Kirkland Lake) to have developed within it northwest striking shears.

Dec 07, 2005 (C Salo) - The (sheared?) volcanic rock is reported to contain numerous narrow veinlets (ranging in width from 1/8 to 1/4 inch) of calcite and quartz, with no preferred veinlet orientation reported. The highest recorded gold assay (0.02 ounce of gold per ton) was from trench no. 2.
