Jun 25, 2015 (A Wilson) - Grab samples collected in 1986 returned values ranging from trace to 0.69 g/t Au. The highest value was obtained from a pillowed mafic metavolcanics containing disseminated pyrite. Gold assays from the 1986 drilling program returned assays up to 1.03 g/t Au over1.16 m in silicified basalt. The best assays from the 1987 drilling returned up to 0.72 g/t Au over 0.96 m in a felsic intrusive. DDH MC-91-712A returned a best assay of 1.27 g/t Au over 1.11 m in syenite.
Dec 07, 2005 (C Salo) - Diamond drilling by American Barrick Resources Corp. in an area of poor bedrock exposure (Satterly 1952; Jensen 1982; Baker et al. 1982; Vagners and Courtney 1985; McClenaghan et al. 1988, 1987; Steele 1988) has intersected narrow widths of anomalous (greater than 0.01 ounce of gold per ton) gold tenors within weakly metamorphosed (greenschist or lower metamorphic facies) silicified mafic volcanic rocks and variably silicified clastic sediments of the east southeast striking, steeply south dipping, and south facing (Archean) Kinojevis Group (Jensen 1982, Jensen and Langford 1985, Jensen and Baker 1986, Johnstone and Steele 1989). Anomalously elevated gold tenors were also encountered by this drilling in intrusive felsic rocks which may be genetically related to the peanut shaped 'Dale Intrusive' stock, a body of hornblende syenite which intrudes Kinojevis Group rocks immediately south of (or within) the east striking Porcupine-Destor Fault Zone.
