Mineralization Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (C Salo) - On the west side of the canyon the vein is described to be hosted by a sheeted zone developed within the felsic stock, to be exposed along 130 feet, and to contain angular pyritic porphyritic granite xenoliths. Sporadically and sparingly mineralized with pyrite, chalcopyrite, and galena: a graphite breccia is also noted to occur near the vein. Grab samples from this occurrence are reported by Satterly to contain form 0.01-0.02 ounce of gold per ton and as much as 0.90 ounce silver per ton. On the east side the vein in a sheared, fractured, and metamorphosed mafic volcanic rock (xenolith). Satterly obtained an assy of 0.03 ounce of gold per ton from a grab sample.
