1949: N. Strong - staked 7 unsurveyed claims and held 4 patented claims (nos. 11088, 27220, 27221, and 27223) near the northwest corner of Holloway Township. 1950: Lesjack Exploration Co. Ltd.: completed geological and geophysical surveys, prospected, and trenched. 1961: Modern Geophysics Ltd:. completed a magnetic survey. 1962: Hunch Mines Ltd :diamond drilled one hole totalling 642 feet. This drilling intersected serpentinized peridotite which was weakly mineralized with asbestos. 1980: Amax of Canada Ltd. completed magnetic, electromagnetic, and geological surveys. 1982: Amax of Canada diamond drilled 1 hole totalling 108 m.

Province: Superior
Subprovince: Abitibi
Terrane: Wawa-Abitibi
Belt: Abitibi
Tectonic Assemblage: Stoughton-Roquemaure
Geological Age: Mesoarchean
Metamorphism Grade: Greenschist
Aug 03, 2016 (R Degagne) - Geological mapping indicates that the area is underlain mainly by largely glacial drift covered generally east striking and steeply dipping weakly metamorphosed (greenschist or lower metamorphic facies) volcanic, tuffaceous, and sedimentary rocks of the (Archean) Hunter Mine Group, Stoughton-Roquemaure Group, and Porcupine-Destor Complex. Asbestos exploration was confined to magnetic and serpentinized ultramafic rocks of the Stoughton-Roquemaure Group which are east striking, moderately north dipping, north facing, and which are marginal to (on a property scale) or within (on a regional scale) the Porcupine-Destor Fault Zone.

Dec 07, 2005 (R Degagne) - Satterly (1954) reported that: '...In faulted contact with the lavas on claim L.11088 there is a peridotite, which has been explored by two trenches. The peridotite is a sheared, fine grained, dark-green rock, which has been completely serpentinized. A little harsh slip fibre was noted in fractures, but no cross fibre. The extent of the peridotite is unknown.' (p.27)'.

Dec 07, 2005 (R Degagne) - Diamond drilling by Hunch Mines yielded a 20 foot core length of fine to medium grained serpentinized peridotite which was weakly mineralized with asbestos fibre ranging from 1/16 to 1/32 inch in length (assessment files, Resident Geologist's Office, Kirkland Lake). Amax of Canada diamond drilled as part of a gold exploration program. Ultramafic (talc-chlorite schist) and tuffaceous rocks of the Porcupine-Destor Complex were interpreted (assessment files) to have been intersected. Some tuffaceous horizons contain significant (locally as much as 40%) of pyrite and/or pyrrhotite. No gold assays were reported.
