Lithology Comments

Jun 26, 2015 (A Wilson) - The syenitic intrusive zone is up to 70 ft. wide and the mafic metavolcanics adjacent to the syenite are strongly sheared and to the south they are massive. The shearing trends approximately east-west and dips 72-75º S. Diamond drilling intersected a series of strongly sheared, chlorite-carbonate rich tuffaceous rocks. A 12 ft thick, red porphyry sill was enocunterd between 92.1 and 104.1 ft. The drill hole terminated in dark green andesitic flows. Quartz carbonate streaking, lines and blebs are common in the andesite, as well as in the upper units of chlorite-carbonate altered intermediate metavolcanics.

Mineralization Comments

Jun 26, 2015 (A Wilson) - Joubin reported that one of the drill holes intersected a series of syenized dikes in the mafic metavolcanics. Two mineralized zones were located between 8 and 10 feet wide, which gave assays averaging about 0.06 oz/t Au. Gold values ranging from 0.01 to 0.17 oz/t Au were returned from the showings on claim L27600. A grab sample collected from claim L27600 by J.A. McClasky in 1948 assayed 0.98 oz/t Au. DDH-NX-2 returned the highest assays from the drill campaign. A 10 ft long section of core between 22.0 and 32.0 ft averaged 0.135 oz/t Au. A 6.5 ft section of core between 82.0 and 88.5 m averaged 0.175 oz/t Au. Assays from the 1981 diamond drilling program conducted by American Barrick returned values up to 6.7 g/t Au over 1 m in a pyritic syenite.
