Jun 29, 2015 (C Salo) - The Tousignant deposit is within the northwest quarter of claim no. 633305 (a restaking in part of what once was patented claim no. 32203) within the 100% American Barrick Resources controlled East Block claim group. Geological mapping indicates that bedrock in the area is largely glacial drift covered. Exposed bedrock in the area consists mainly of weakly metamorphosed (greenschist or lower metamorphic facies) east northeast striking, steeply south dipping, and south facing subaqueously deposited tholeiitic basalt and interflow sedimentary rocks of the (Archean) Kinojevis Group. Intrusive rocks in the area include felsic and lamprophyre dikes. A recent geophysical survey of Harker Township failed to detect any anomalous bedrock conductors which coincide with the location of the (overburden covered) Tousignant deposit. The deposit is about 3.3 km southwest of the Holt-McDermott Mine shaft and is spatially associated with the trace of the Ghostmount Fault of Satterly. The deposit is reported to be hosted by tholeiitic basalt and to be similar mineralogically to anomalous gold mineralization at the Holt-McDermott Mine (which occurs within the McDermott Deformation Zone and is spatially associated with the Consular-Ben-Arch-McDermott Fault. Gold mineralization at the Holt-McDermott Mine is described elsewhere in this compendium in the Holt-McDermott Mine description.

Jun 29, 2015 (A Wilson) - The Tousignant Zone is located 3.5 km to the west of the Holt shaft and approximately 2 km west of the westernmost extents of Zone 4 underground workings. Tousignant extends from surface to a vertical depth of approximately 150 m. The ore body is shallow dipping (approximately 20° from the horizontal) and is composed of two lenses. There is a sub-vertical component to the ore body located to the north of the two flatter lenses; additional diamond drilling is needed to upgrade this vertical component to measured or indicated resources.

Jun 29, 2015 (A Wilson) - Gold mineralization is typical Holt mineralization and is very similar to that of Zone 4 and C-103. Gold is associated with disseminated pyrite and intense albite/silica alteration. The zone is characterized by two structural components: a flat south west dipping component in the form of a lens shaped alteration package and a steep, south dipping component concordant to a fault belonging to the Ghostmount shear. There is an apparent thickening of the mineralization envelope near to where the two aforementioned structural components intersect. A 3 g/t Au. envelope is completely haloed by a lower grade envelope in the flat zone whilst the vertical zone is typically thinner but, unlike the thicker flat zone, a continuous higher grade envelope cannot be distinguished. The flat zone is typically two to five metres thick whilst the vertical zone is about one to three metres in thickness, thickening slightly towards its upper limits. Although the flat zone was fairly continuous, some lower grade material was included for the purpose of realizing a continuous mineralized zone. No exploration activity took place at Tousignant in the last two years. Holt West Zone 4: Phase 1 surface drilling conducted in 2014 was highly successful in defining the mineralized strike extension 800 m to the west of the present mine infrastructure. The zones remain open to the west with limited historical surface drilling between Zone 4 and the Tousignant Zone has been conducted. Phase 2 follow-up drilling in 2015 will test both the vertical potential along the Ghostmount Fault and the potential for repetitive flat lying mineralization such as Zone 4 and Tousignant; SAS also plans to test for mineralized extensions to the west of Tousignant.
Dec 07, 2005 (C Salo) - The deposit is about 3.3 km southwest of the Holt-McDermott Mine shaft and is spatially associated with (it is about 190 m northeast of) the trace of the Ghostmount Fault of Satterly (1954, 1952). The deposit is reported (G. Tousignant, oral comm., January, 1990) to be hosted by tholeiitic basalt and to be similar mineralogically to anomalous gold mineralization at the Holt-McDermott Mine (which occurs within the McDermott Deformation Zone of Workman (1986) and is spatially associated with the Consular-Ben-Arch-McDermott Fault of Satterly 1952). Gold mineralization at the Holt-McDermott Mine is described elsewhere in this compendium in the Holt-McDermott Mine description. Approximately 60,000 feet of surface diamond drilling has delineated: '...a small shallow deposit grading 0.20 ounces of gold per ton, about two miles from the Holt-McDermott Mine shaft. Additional definition drilling is underway to confirm tonnage and grade. This deposit has the potential to provide additional mill feed to the Holt- McDermott Mine.' (American Barrick Resources Corp. Third Quarter 1987 Report, dated November 6, 1989).
