Lithology Comments

Jul 29, 2016 (R Degagne) - Ferguson et al. classified this as a gold occurrence. No references indicating the presence in the area of anomalous gold tenors were found by the present writer. Mining Corp. of Canada (now Noranda Inc.) diamond drill hole no. 9 intersected a 7 foot core length of jaspilitic iron formation which Shklanka (1968) classified as an iron occurrence; this is described in the report for the Mining Corp. East Group (iron) occurrence (no. 77). The drill hole intersected metasediments and metavolcanics. Narrow bands (9 and 5 feet) of green carbonate ore also were intersected.
