Several companies worked in the Burntbush River area exploring for base metals from 1958 to 1984. Most of these programs involved airborne geophysical surveys, with ground geophysics over selected electromagnetic anomalies followed by diamond drilling. The following companies drilled EM conductors which are located within the boundaries of the Burntbush River Property. Conwest (1958) - 6 holes, Noranda (1976) - 1 hole, Geophysical Engineering (1976) - 2 holes, Dome (1982) - 2 holes. In 1984, the property was staked for Ameritex Resources (AM, AVLF-EM). From 1986-1992 Cogema Resources performed aiborne and ground geophysical surveys, mechanical stripping, 173 RC drill holes (3917m), and 58 DD holes (12,487m). In 1997 Tri Origin Exploration Ltd. performed an IP survey on the property and re-examined core stored on the property from previous drilling programs.
