Mar 24, 2010 (D Draper) - The property claim package extends east-west across the central section of the Lower Detour Lake Area and was named the South Detour property by Placer Dome and later the Aurora property by Conquest. It is located within the Abitibi Subprovince at the contact between the Abitibi greenstone terrain and the Migmatitic Opatika Subprovince. The property is situated on the southern flank of a synclinal fold structure that extends from the main body of the Abitibi belt in Quebec. The centre of the fold consists mostly of metasediments flanked by metavolcanics. The geological setting is in some ways similar to the Detour Lake property to the northwest in Sunday Lake Area. Thick sequences of massive to pillowed tholeiitic basalt flows contain interflow units consisting of mafic tuffs, greywackes and local chemical sediments. Gabbroic bodies and numerous feldspar porphyry and quartz-feldspar porphyry dykes intrude these sequences. Regional dynamothermal metamorphism, increasing to the west of the property, has resulted in recrystallization and deformation fabrics. Later thermal metamorphism, related to batholith intrusion on the southern edge of the claims, has locally overprinted the regional fabrics. According to the classification adopted by Winkler (1979), the rocks at South Detour would be classified as upper greenschist facies in the eastern portion of the property, to lower amphibolite facies to the west, with amphiboles being the dominant metamorphic mineral. Rocks proximal to the batholith intrusion on the southern edge of the property or the felsic intrusion to the northeast, are hornfelsed with epidote-garnet (almandine?) +I- albite being the diagnostic contact metamorphic mineral assemblage. Mar 24, 2010 (A Wilson) - Gold is spatially related to quartz-feldspar porphyry and gold bearing sediments. Massive mafic flows and tuffs comprising the hanging wall stratigraphy also are enriched in gold. Tuffs and minor pillowed flows within the potassic alteration halo proximal to the tuff-chemical sediment contact also host patchy gold mineralization.

Mar 24, 2010 (D Draper) - The top of hole 519-059 intersected a dyke of quartz feldspar porphyry which assayed 1.28 g/t Au over 1 m. A deformed and potassically-altered meta-tuff is the principle gold-bearing zone: here, visible gold (15+ specks) is fracture-controlled and disseminated in quartz veining with accessory pyrite, pyrrhotite and chalcopyrite. This zone assayed an average of 58.53 g/t Au over 3 m from 279 to 282m including a 1-metre sample returning 170.10 g/t Au. Lower units of tuff and minor pillowed flows occurring within the potassic alteration halo proximal to a tuff-chemical sediment zone returned values over 1 m of 1.01 g/t Au and 4.72 g/t Au. The tuff-chemical sediment unit at 327.06 m, coincident with a brecciated and fractured zone within the sediments, returned 1.44 g/t Au over 0.97 m. (Precis from B. Pierna report, Feb. 1997 in T-3436 / 2.18114, p.20, 23) Followup hole 519-078, collared 250m SE of 519-059, returned 0.99 g/t Au over 0.95m from a tuff unit at 131m cut by a quartz vein with py, po and cpy. (T-3436 / 2.18222) In 2003, Conquest drilled 2 holes south of 519-059: CQ03-8 collared at 100m SSW and CQ03-9 at 150m SSE. Both intersected the same stratigraphic zone of altered mafic tuff and returned gold values over 1-metre samples of 3.84 g/t in CQ03-8 and 1.20 g/t in CQ03-9. (T-4882)
